Man's Need

The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Because we are descendants of Adam, All men are sinners.

Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus Christ was Virgin Born, lived a sinless life, died on the Cross in our place, Rose from the Dead on the third day and ascended back to Heaven He is the Gift of God. Jesus paid for all sin of all mankind.

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." The Bible teaches that if we will call on the Lord, He will save us. When we admit that we are sinners under the condemnation of God, deserving of eternal judgement in Hell, and if we will call on the Lord seeking forgiveness, He will apply the payment of His sacrifice on the Cross to our sin debt. This is what Jesus meant when He told Nicodemus in John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." Jesus explained to Nicodemus that there must be a physical birth and a spiritual birth to be able to be "Born Again" (Saved) to go to Heaven.
